August Times at Texas De Brazil!
So here I am...or was at one of my favorite restaurants in the whole wide word. #greedy Texas De Brazil. I just noticed that I kinda match with their decor. I feel so guilty...the hubs and I ate here 3 times in the month of August. (I'm just going to start calling him by one of his nicknames: Reign) We were only supposed to eat their once, but they kept teasing us with their complimentary dinners! So....we had to!!! LOL. One for my birthday, and then Reign's birthday and in these pics....it was our last night out in the D.C area. We just wanted to treat ourselves I guess, lol.
If you've never been to TDB you have to go. Their food is excellent! They specialize in brazilian steak. Reign & I agree that the filet mignon is the best steak on the menu! And did I mention the servers just keep bringing you steak, chicken, & pork until you turn tab to red. The cost is around $40-50 for the buffet...but if you sign up for their email they will start emailing you complimentary ones for holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Because there is not one in Houston, we definitely won't be going for awhile. :-( Closest one is in Dallas...Tip: Don't eat a lot before you go. ;-)
Okay on to my outfit. It's very simple.
Black leggings- $5 at Walmart
Red top (LOVE THE BACK!)- Burlington Coat Factory, $15
Shoes- Ross, Nine West, $20
Clutch- Bijoux Terner, $10
As you can see the jewelry was kept to a minimum. We'd been packing all day and I didn't feel like getting jazzy. Later ya'll. :-)-K.D.

VA Beach Recap
Let me just say....I'm tired. Really tired. I'm actually blogging bedside which is something I hardly do. The beach was so much fun AND it was so much HEAT! My car's temperature stayed around 107-110 degrees. Being out in all of that heat wore me out! We rode bikes....and even as I type this I still can't believe my husband got me to ride bikes with him for that many blocks. 64 to be exact. :o So...moving right along I didn't get a new bathing suit. I just bought a bottom to a bikini top I bought years. I was going to a fraternity luau and I really only needed the bikini top...so that's all I bought! Looking back on it, I can't believe I didn't just get the whole suit. Well, yes i can. lol....#collegeyearswerebrokeyears
I had fun doing my toes in these colors. I liked how it turned out. Target silver flip flops-$2.50
And here's one of my new rompers from Burlington's Coat Factory! :D I wore it over my swimsuit. The romper was $7. It has a pocket on the sides and one on top. My nails, toes, and bracelets really added color to this gray romper. :-)
As you can see it's really short. But hey I was at the beach so I didn't care. ;-)
And here's the bathing suit. Oh and the bottom was on sale for $5 at JCPenney. I was so proud of myself for snagging that great deal. It would've been nice to buy a new suit, but I didn't need one really. I hadn't worn this one in years. If we go to the beach again, I'm definitely getting another bathing suit.
My nail polish. :-)

Carnival Outfit
So here's what I wore to the carnival. Initially, I was looking for something more colorful to wear...but I decided to let the accessories do the talking. ;-)

Here's the lowdown on my outfit:
Vest-I bought this in '06. It's funny because I have 2 other ones just like this one. I have a green, black, and light tan one. I remember being in Walmart with my sister and asking her which one did she think I should get. She was like, "Just get all of them. They're only $5!" lol....so I did!
Crop Top- I don't remember when or where I got this. I just know it's extremely old. A lot of times, I just sleep in it.
Jean Shorts-You'll remember these from here. $10 bucks
Gold Necklace- Bijoux Terner, $10 (Also featured here and here)
Other necklaces- Just wore them here, but I wore them the long way this time. I believe my sister paid $3 for them....
Bracelet-F21, $5-7.....I think I've worn this before on the blog...just can't find it right now.
I'm going to post photos of the D.C. Carib. Carnival tommorrow! I had so much fun! The people in the parade were pretty wild...lol! Wait until you guys see these photos....-K.D.

Memphis Trippin'
So I just got back from Memphis yesterday and I already want to go back! lol, I miss being around my family. :-( I never get to spend enough time with them.... Man we had a lot of fun. I hit up about 3-4 thrift stores since I was in town. I thought the one I visit here was cheap...wait until you guys see my cheap thrift store scores from Memphis. Not a lot, but enough for me. ;-) My sister, mother, and I went to the Sisterhood Showcase on Saturday and it was a lot of fun looking at all the (expensive) jewelry. There were some nice clothes too. I noticed that they don't give away as many samples as they did when I would when I was in junior high & high school. #ohwell Moving along....These were probably some of the prettiest rings I'd ever seen.... :D

My sister had on a pretty fly ring herself... ;-)

She almost bought this one!

And here's me...wearing my $2.99 579 shirt and $2.90 thrift store belt. :D Just another way to wear the shirt and belt dressed down. I wish the belt wasn't twisted all around....

The wind was blowing that's why my hair is all over the place.

-Shirt and Belt-Their second and third debut on ETSS.
-Shorts- These are some Zana Di shorts I bought last June from Burlington Coat Factory. They were $10. :-). I initially bought them for a photo shoot I did with my husband (then fiance). I love Zana Di jeans...when I can find them! They're very scarce. : \
-And a bunch of random bracelets and of course my Leo bracelet! lol
That's it...more photos tommorrow from my trip!- K.D.

First J.Crew Dress
So this is my first J.Crew dress! It was a gift. :-) I love it & it's so cute. It has little ruffles at the top. You may not be able to see them very in these photos though. I promise to take more photos of this dress without the jacket. I didn't see online either....This is just how I wore it to work. It has spaghetti straps. I wore it with my new Payless flats....ugh. Those shoes dang near killed one foot yesterday! It was so sore. Not both. Just one. Weird....I'm hoping the more I wear them, the better they'll get.
J.Crew - retails for $59.50 (free gift for me
Bracelet- $5 at an expo showcase
Shoes- $7 at Payless
Belt- I don't remember where I got it or how much it cost....
Jackett- Purchased with a skirt from Burlington's Coat Factory in '07. The suit was $30-40 I believe
Necklace- $10, Bijoux Terner
Wooden Earrings- Don't remember the price or where they came from....
I have 2 other items from J. Crew that I'll be wearing for the blog. J. Crew has never been on my radar (yes, even after the Michelle Obama thing), but now I'm starting to really like their clothing. They have a lot of cute pieces. I'll keep you guys posted on what else I get from there. It has to be on a super, super sale though. Ha! Hope you guys have a great weekend. I really want to go see the new Freddy Krueger movie. :D Did anyone see it? Was it good? I'm hearing that it wasn't....but I still want to see it.
-K.D.
