Do You Have a Thrift Store Limit?

I had a very thrifty day today. I went to the infamous thrift store down the street. In case you missed it, the thrift store is called Village Economy and it's located in Woodbridge, VA. :-) I was very disappointed today....the clothes in there are getting more and more expensive. Well, expensive for a thrift store...it's really getting out of hand. If you're going to spend over a certain amount you might as well shop at F21 or Wet Seal. I don't have a set limit, but I'm starting to think I should set one.....

A BCBG dress that was $7.90....i loved it, but it was too big for me...and it was a small.

This was a very cute dress, but I've seen so many dresses like this around the same price at retail stores....

And why is this dress $9.90??? Just because it's from The Limited?

Point blank. If I think I can get it from a regular retail store for around the same price, then I won't buy it. If it's used the price should be lower...not stay the same. I'm noticing that the Village Economy marks some of the designer items more just because of the name. I guess it doesn't matter to them how old the clothing is & what season it came out. Do you have a limit for thrift stores? If so, what's your limit? Or am I just being too cheap? While in Memphis, I noticed their thrift stores were way cheaper. So naturally this is making me look at VE sideways...

Camera Blues :-(

Hey ya'll. I hope everyone had a great 1st day of summer aka the longest day of the year. As I write this, it's still light outside. ;-) I wanted to post an outfit post today, but my camera died (r.i.p) last night. It has been acting funny lately, but I didn't think anything of it....until last night I tried to take photos of my hair for my other blog & it peaced out completely. :-(

I even tried to turn it on this morning.#cuteoutfittoday I figured maybe she was having a bad night...and nothing. The camera just lies there now. I'm so upset and sad because I depend a lot on my camera for my blogs. I'm a picture person. I like taking photos of everything. lol...Well maybe not everything, but I do carry my camera w/ me everyday. But now I don't know what to do....(For all of you who are wondering, I have a Sony Cybershot S700. Booooooo. I've had it for almost 3 years.) I don't exactly have the money to just go out and buy a $500-600 Nikon or Canon. : \ Ugh. I'm looking for a cheap digital camera for right now (preferably one that is under $50 #yeahright)

Any suggestions? What kind of camera do you guys have? Help! And I'm not going to attempt to post my horrible camera pics.

$3.50 F21 Skirts to Match New Top

These are all the right price. They're retailing for $3.50 at F21. :D I wish they had more in summer colors.....
F21's Basic Fitted Knit Skirt

Okay....so I'm thinking of one of these skirts to go with my new top. :-) I really want to go with a bright or light colored bottom like a skirt like these or some shorts. I'm not sure if I want to match the the top exactly with the bottom...maybe. There were some cute, relaxed gray ruffled shorts on F21's site, but I don't see them anymore. : \ Meanwhile, I'll keep looking for a bottom for this skirt...I may just wear something I already have. Shoot, that's less money anyway. ;-)

How To Rock A $1 Belt

Me playing around...(sidenote: I really need to paint my nails... : \)

So here I am.... :-) in one of my thrifted belts from Memphis. Isn't it cute? Even though it's been a rainy day I wanted to experiment a little with my clothes. I've worn this dress a few times before, but never like this. I decided to put one of my polo-ish shirts under the dress. Initially, I had my white shirt on under it. In the end I decided on the black one.

Dress- Macy's, $40...the hubs bought this for me last year.

Polo shirt- Snabbed this for $5 at a store that was going out of business....

Belt- Thrifted in Memphis for $1! :D (ya'll are going to get tired of me saying that, lol)

Necklace w/ feathers- F21, seen also in this post for $5-8

Other Necklace-Purchased long time ago...don't remember the price.

Earrings- I found these in my car...I have no idea where they came from! I asked around and no one claimed them...#ohwelltheyrehot:0

Shoes- CR T-strap sandals! I told ya'll I wear these almost everyday to work! lol

And that's one of my random beauty supply store bracelets again. I think I'll make a tab for them on the blog. I wear them a lot and they all cost $1! Hey don't sleep on the bss bracelets! Gotta go...Behind the Music: Eve just came on & I missed the beginning of it last night. Tonight is my me night filled with the new eppys for The Hills & The City! :-)

Monday Funday

Well, I had a great weekend! Guess what ya'll? Remember my last post about me wanting a certain shirt? Well.....on Sunday the hubs surprised me by buying it for me! He read about how much I wanted it on the blog. :D Needless to say, I was sooooooo surprised. I wasn't expecting this at all. Especially since I just wrote about it on Friday. If you're reading this babe (which I know you are) thank you again! :D

As you can see he bought me the white & gray one. I wanted the yellow & gray one, but I love this one just because he actually went to F21 on a hunt for a shirt I wanted. :-) <3>

Dress-$3!, TJMaxx (oh yeah!) I remember getting it just because it was cheap...I knew I would eventually figure out how to wear it! I bought another one that same day for $2. Ya'll will see it soon. ;-)

Jacket- This goes with some pants I bought over 5 yrs ago...don't remember the price of the suit.

Earrings- F21, $3.80

Shoes- I promise I will start posting pics of my shoes more...sorry guys. :0 I wear the t-strap CR flats to work a lot. : \ I have to wear flats & right now they are the only ones that will suffice. I wish I could wear heels. : \

Random but who remembers this song??? I used to play this song on repeat in junior high! I listened to it this weekend and it brought back so many memories. :-)
